Hello Blog. Well here I am.

Wall suggested that perhaps some of the really long monologues should go here in my blog, so here I am!

Time has been really going so fast this year and there is still so much to do. I am comfortable now with the AFMG website as it has many, many features tucked away under the surface and will provide all the tools our film maker community will be able to use to their advantage. Obviously the modules that create these features are undergoing upgrades and refinements by the programmers so we can expect improvement over time.

Now that the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) has been initiated we can expect better ranking on the various search engines and thereby get seen by people. This should result in more members.

To new members I would like to say welcome and thank you for joining our group. Please participate in our community and help make it the best online community of Amateur Film Makers. If anyone has any questions please send me a message.

The books I bought were fabulous and the remaining 6 arrived within days of the first 3. They will be great resource material for not only my developing film making skills but also for the workshops planned for next year.

The weather is really fantastic now in the UAE which will allow much more comfortable outdoor filming. The winter months here are Dec-Feb and this generally gives us clear skies and fantastic outdoor temperature.

I am still working at growing the local chapter of the AFMG here in Abu Dhabi and this requires more than just recruiting members. It requires getting a form of sponsorship or patronage from an appropriate government department so that the group can operate legally . This takes time but I am hoping to achieve results soon.

I now have more than 10 film ideas and will have to start the script writing process soon. I really need to determine the best course of action as to which starts first. Needless to say steps are in place for commencement of the process.

We'll be shifting house again - this time to the villa next door with a lovely green and tree filled garden. Yes I know the water bills will reflect that but it will be great to have a garden again. I will be busy for a few weeks doing the move.
